Although my name is Bec, to save too much confusion I am known by my childhood nickname, ‘Birdy’, to my Kindy friends. I am a busy mum, a passionate (but novice) gardener, and I’m very proud to be a member of the Kawana Community Kindergarten teaching team. My career has seen me working with children in a variety of roles including Kindergarten teacher, inclusion support, a facilitator for Playgroup Queensland, administrator, a nanny, Educator and therapy assistant. I have a special interest in inclusion and supporting neurodivergent children in their early learning journey and have focused much of my personal and professional time developing my understanding and skills in this area. Through authentic, nature-based experiences, I hope to foster an environment that allows your child to reach their full potential. I am both excited and honoured to be a part of your child’s learning journey- thank you for sharing it with me.
